A new publication on episcopal power in the late Roman Empire has come out: The Role of the Bishop in Late Antiquity – Conflict and Compromise (Bloomsbury 2013). The book is based on the papers in the conference held in Granada in 2011 and it has been edited by Andrew Fear, José Fernández Ubiña and Mar Marcos – very efficiently indeed – it took only two years to come out – which is a sort of record in academic publishing.
My contribution is ”Pacifiers and Instigators – Bishops and Interreligious Conflicts in Late Antiquity”.
The book is already in notified in the Radio Granada news.
