Next week I’ll take part in the sixteenth international conference on patristic studies. The whole week is full of short and longer presentations and workshops, quite a work to do!
Personally, I don’t like the term patristics – it reminds me of Freudian studies rather than research on ancient Christian writers. I would simply prefer the term Early Christian studies.
My paper will discuss Late Antique ideas of divine wrath and divine favour. It will be part of the workshop ”Late Antique Rome as a Cultural Icon” organised by Chiara Tommasi.
