Tällä viikolla Oxfordissa on käynnissä patristiikan tutkimuksen konferenssi (Seventeenth International Conference on Patristics Studies). Patristiikka on antiikin kristinuskon tutkimusta. Englanniksi olisi nykyään kohdallisempaa käyttää termiä early Christian studies. Käytännössä tutkittava aikakausi on myöhäisantiikkia (200-800). Meneillään on valtava määrä yksittäisiä esitelmiä ja työpajoja. Osallistujia on kuulemma liki tuhat.
