I got back home in Helsinki and this nice volume was waiting for me: The Fifth Century: Age of Transformation. It is the proceeding of the Shifting Frontiers in Late Antiquity conference that was held in 2017 at Yale University. The volume is edited by Noel Lenski and Jan Willem Drijvers and published in the prominent Late Antiquity series of Munera by Edipuglia.
The volume is full of articles on late antique issues such as climate, material culture, barbarians (of course!) and Romans, law and power, religion and authority, literary construction and memory. I am very happy to be in this volume, with the article ”Shifting Sacrifices. Fifth-Century Developments in Ritual Life”.
