The eagerly waited volume Pagans and Christians in the Roman Empire: The Breaking of a Dialogue (IVth – VIth Century A.D.) has come out. It collects the papers of the Conference held at the monastery of Bose, Italy, in 2008. The book has been edited by Peter Brown and Rita Lizzi Testa and published by LIT Verlag.
The conference was held to celebrate the publication of the Italian translation (1968) of The Conflict between Paganism and Christianity in the Fourth Century (1963). Therefore, a part of the articles discuss this volume edited by Arnaldo Momigliano.
The articles of Pagans and Christians are published in English, French and Italian. Mine is called ”The importance of being pagan”.
